    • Friedman in de NY Times: kennisimmigratie levert Amerika veel voordelen

    Thomas L. Friedman schrijft in de NY Times een interessant artikel, waar we in Nederland (zeker sommige politici) met interesse naar zouden moeten kijken.

     

    Friedman was namelijk bij een diner aanwezig, waar onderstaande namen op de aanwezigheidslijst stonden. Hij vraagt dan ook aan zijn lezers te raden waar het diner over ging. Aanwezig tijdens dit Amerikaanse diner waren namelijk de volgende namen:

    No, sorry, it was not a dinner of the China-India Friendship League.

    Auteur van het stukje is eveneens schrijver van het best selling boek 'the world is flat': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_Is_Flat

     

    Interessant filmpje van een toespraak van de schrijver over het boek: http://mitworld.mit.edu/video/266/.

     

    Hij ziet dus zeer grote voordelen en noodzaken om niet binnengericht te blijven kijken qua kennis en economie.

    Die deur stond al lang open natuurlijk. Maar ik zie dit hoofdzakelijk als een reactie op de kennis-verzameldrift van de Chinezen.
