Hi it's a takeaway restaurant business and we have 50/50 partnership. On top of that we bought the business in 2018 and my other partner hasn't paid me any profit which is shown on the balance sheet until today. I don't know what should I do and how to recover the money I have put in the business and profit I should receive. I just found out today he put the business on deregistration.

Any advice on what I can do would be great

Is it a VOF, a BV, two separate sole entrepreneurs?

 Get legal help anyway...

Then you should get legal help for sure, because once deregistered, the VOF seizes to exist and if your partner left any debts in the VOF, you can be held accountable for 100% of the total amount of the debt.

Also you have to pay incometaxes over your share of the profits, even if you didn't receive any of it.
